We contacted James after our laptop would not start and he was very happy for us to call in that afternoon. James was extremely helpful and rang me the next day to explain the problem and what work needed to be carried out. We agreed on some additional work to further enhance the life of my laptop and was very pleased to get a call the following day to say it was ready to collect.

Took my PC in for repair the other day after having a helpful chat before booking in, then the repair only took about an hour and a half in which they repaired my pc whilst also rebuilding incorrect parts and cleaning the inside, fully recommend!

He'll fix your computer. I was gonna do some work experience with him but setting up a business was too much hassle. Can't fault the guy himself or the work he does tho.

SUPERB Our old PC decided to throw it's teddy's out and as an integral part of our production process we feared the worst until we rang James. We dropped off the PC on the Monday and back up and running by Tuesday lunchtime. All for a very competitive price. We can't recommend The Coalville Computer Nerd highly enough.

My partner referred me to James a couple of years ago following a positive experience of her own with a broken external hard disk drive. I had a recurring problem with my laptop's wifi connection being fried after Windows updates were installed on my elderly Windows 10 laptop. Not only did James resolved the issue, but he also tidied up the registries, made the machine feel slicker and also set up a regular back up of my data to an external SSD.

All for a very competitive.some would say modest.outlay. I've gone back to James on two further occasions, most recently a couple of weeks ago with a box-fresh Windows 11 laptop for him to set up and transfer settings, files and other programs across. He's done a brilliant job. Just this week, he supplied and set up a refurbished Windows 11 laptop for my partner in no time at all.

Not only is James a supremely talented IT specialist, he's also a lovely bloke to deal with. Polite, friendly, professional and dedicated. I've told him that I'm the patient and he's the surgeon and I have come to regard him as my IT department. Frankly, he is a great resource to the local community in NW Leics and deserves all the plaudits he gets. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Bravo, James!

I have just had my really old computer back thinking it was to go for recycling and it has come back home new and energised, James has worked his magic and turned it round in a week. lovely chap too. I can highly recommend him.

James has solved a number of issues with both mine and my partners laptops. He also recently managed to source 2 refurbished laptops for us. which were both basically brand new, for an unbelievable price! (Still cant believe it!) After building my first ever PC at considerable expence, and banging my head against a brick wall numerous times trying to fix things myself, I knew James was the man to call. As well as being a personal machine, my photography business depends on my PC, as its used for running my business, editing and storing photos. I knew i wanted someone I could trust to investigate the issues, as there was a huge amount of data I couldn't afford to loose. Suffice to say, James has done a fantastic job.

Laptop suddenly decided not to have wifi, after an hour of frustrating googling to fix it myself, I decided I needed help. James sorted the problem (and some others I didn't know about) quickly for me, enabling me to get back to work ASAP.

In the interest of full disclosure, I know James (although not well) from when I lived in Leicester over 7 years ago. James recovered a hard drive from an ancient Toshiba laptop of mine onto an external hard drive. So nothing exciting BUT it was something I'd been meaning to do for literally years. James was efficient, patient, never made me feel silly (even when I was) and explained things clearly, which I very much appreciated. I'm especially pleased to have access to music which I thought I'd lost forever. Great service which I'd happily recommend.

James built a 1-off computer for my company, with a number of special features. This was completed on time and well within our budget. We were very pleased with his performance and will certainly use him again. We have added him to our approved supplier list. Over the last 4 years James has assisted with a whole host of queries including the supply of a budget laptop when I needed it, a high grade reconditioned laptop when work demanded better and finances allowed (still at over 100 saving based on rrp) and the provision of a bespoke replacement PC for my son at top speed because it was needed to meet a college application deadline.

Everything arrived ready to go as he provides a machine fit for use without the hassle of unwanted programmes. My last random request was for an emergency cable for an ancient external drive and was met incredibly quickly. He's trustworthy and never oversells. Give him a call :)
